Easy Admin Question
Services, when I log into the Report Manager website, I see the folder
"User Folders". I can navigate into that and see everyone's personal
"My Reports" folders.
Now, I have made a developer a Reporting Services Admin by adding him
to the RS Site Role of "System Admin" so that he can modify and
extract some user's reports that they saved in their My Reports
location.
For some reason he is unable to see the "User Folders" folder. I have
verified he is assigned to the System Admin role in RS so I'm unsure
what else I need to do to allow him to see the "User Folders" folder.
Any help anyone could provide is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
MartinSystem Administrator role does not include permissions to access catalog
items.
Quoting BOL (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156470.aspx)
The System Administrator role is a predefined role that includes tasks that
are useful for a report server administrator who has overall responsibility
for a report server, but not necessarily for the content within it.

So after reading that and messing around with all the settings, I was
finely able to get it working. Had to set permissions at the Folder
and Report levels so that I, as an Admin, could 'control' a user's
reports they created and stored in their My Folders location.
Thanks for the link. It helped in my understanding and tracking this
down.

dynamically binding button and controls on table rows.
Hi,
I am new to .NET world. I am using visual studio express.
I am developing website using ASP.NET and C#.
I want to add buttons dynamically on a table row on my web page.
For this I have written this code in "example.aspx" file
<asp:TableID="tblExample"GridLines="Both"BorderWidth="1"runat="server">
</asp:Table>
In my corresponding "example.aspx.cs" file i have written
TableRow tr = new TableRow();
.....................
.....................
TableCell tc3 = new TableCell();
tc3.Width = 120;
Button bt = new Button();
bt.Text = btnStop.Text;
bt.Width = 120;
bt.CommandArgument = lrs.IpAddress + ":" + lrs.PortNo;
bt.Click += newEventHandler(cmdStop_Click);
tc3.Controls.Add(bt);
tr.Cells.Add(tc3);
tblExample.Rows.Add(tr);
In my EventHandler "cmdStop_Click" I am trying to perform some action but on that particular row's data.
My page is also reloading after every 5 secs.
After clicking a button in a row, when page refreshes, I am getting this message in popup error message. also that entry is ommited(as per code in EventHandler)
"The Page cannot be refreshed without resending the information.
Click retry to resend the information again.
or click Cancel to return to the page that you were trying to view"
resetButton cancelButton
_
How to bind that button to particular row so that when I click on a button the action should be performed on that particular row's data.
Thanks
I think that if you visit this site, you will find quite a few very good instructional videos that will help you create your website.

Your question is not really a SQL Server question, but more one of how to get started and learn ASP programming. Check out the site above.

dynamic table name (was "Please help ! SQL")
I am new to T-SQL i got this code from some website but its not working can anyone let me know why
@.cur_tab_name varchar(30) is not decleared while i have decleared
I want to use this for dynamic name of the table.
Thanks.
create table temp_tab
(
tab_name varchar(30),
no_of_rows INTEGER,
)
DECLARE
curREVIEW
CURSOR FOR
select name
from sysobjects
where xtype = 'U'
DECLARE @.cur_tab_name varchar(30)
OPEN curREVIEW
FETCH curREVIEW INTO @.cur_tab_name
WHILE (@.@.FETCH_STATUS =0)
BEGIN
DECLARE @.count integer
select @.count = count(*) from @.cur_tab_name
INSERT INTO temp_tab
(@.cur_tab_name, @.count)
FETCH curREVIEW INTO @.cur_tab_name
END
CLOSE curREVIEW
DEALLOCATE curREVIEWDynamic SQL must be passed as a string to EXEC:
EXEC ('select @.count = count(*) from ' + @.cur_tab_name)
...but this still will not give you what you want, because the code will EXECute in a different scope than your @.count variable.
Try this:
Declare @.SQLString varchar(500)
Set @.SQLString = 'INSERT INTO temp_tab select ''' + @.cur_tab_name + ''', count(*) from ' + @.cur_tab_name
EXEC (@.SQLString)
